Ziss Brine Shrimp Hatchery ZH-2000 – 2 L

The Ziss Brine Shrimp Hatchery is a reusable, air-driven hatchery for producing live baby brine shrimp to feed fish fry and other aquarium animals. Its clear vessel and bottom drain valve help with inspecting and harvesting the hatch.

What You Need

• Brine shrimp eggs and a suitable salt mixture
• An aquarium air pump and compatible airline tubing
• Appropriate water and stable hatching temperature
• A brine shrimp sieve or suitable container for collecting nauplii

Brine shrimp eggs, measuring spoon, air pump, and heater are not included in the standard manufacturer kits. Included accessories vary by model.

General Hatching Procedure

1. Assemble the hatchery, stand, and drain valve following the instructions supplied with the actual model.
2. Add conditioned water and the manufacturer-recommended salt amount for the model.
3. Add the appropriate quantity of brine shrimp eggs and provide aeration.
4. Maintain suitable temperature; hatching commonly takes approximately 24–36 hours or longer depending on conditions.
5. Use a light near the bottom spout to attract nauplii for collection. Drain carefully and collect with a sieve or suitable container.
6. Clean the vessel and lid thoroughly between batches without soap, following the manufacturer's care instructions.
