❓ Tropical Treasures Wyo FAQ

🐠 Shipping & Orders

Why do you ship overnight?
Overnight shipping ensures your fish arrive healthy and stress-free. It minimizes time in transit, reduces stress, stabilizes temperature, lowers illness risk, and ensures customers receive fish in their best condition.

How are orders shipped?
Fish are packed in breather bags with a light stress-reducing treatment and a small filter piece to absorb waste. Bags are double-bagged for safety, then placed in insulated boxes with heat or cold packs (as needed) to keep conditions stable during transit.

When will my order ship?
We ship Monday - Wednesday for LIVESTOCK and Monday - Thursday for Dry Goods (except Holidays). In unsafe weather conditions, we may delay shipments to ensure the safety of your fish. If you select Next Day Air, we can arrange an alternate shipping day (excluding weekends).

Which mail services do you use?
We offer both UPS and FEDEX, depending on your address.
⚠️ Note: UPS and FEDEX does not deliver to PO Boxes. You must provide a physical address or request a Hold for Pickup with your tracking number.

When does my Next Day package arrive?
Delivery times are counted from when the package leaves our city to when it reaches you. Handling and catching time is not included in this estimate.

Can you hold my order?
No. Please ensure your tank is cycled and ready before ordering, as we cannot hold orders.

Can you cancel my order?
Yes, but only if canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled shipping day (Monday).

🐟 Receiving Your Fish

How do I acclimate my new fish?
Our pH runs around 7.4. Here’s our recommended process:

  1. Gather a container large enough to hold tank water equal to the amount in the shipping bag.
  2. Cut open the bags and pour the fish/water into the container. Let acclimate for 20 minutes.
  3. Place a net over another container. Pour the fish into the net, then gently transfer them into your tank.

⚠️ This ensures bag water doesn’t enter your aquarium. If you already have a preferred acclimation method, feel free to use it.

Why doesn’t my fish look like the photo on your website?
Fish may lose color due to shipping stress. Once acclimated to your aquarium, they will regain their vibrant colors. Photos on our site are taken of healthy fish in stable conditions.

Can you sex my fish?
Most of our fish are sold as juveniles/unsexed. You may request a sex preference in the order notes or via email. We will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee requests.
