Directions for Use
Use one-half to one capful, or 2.5–5 mL, of Seachem StressGuard for every 10 US gallons of aquarium water.

This targeted action helps deliver the product’s disinfectant directly to injured areas while supporting natural tissue repair. It also helps reduce the likelihood that minor wounds will develop primary or secondary infections.
StressGuard does not work by irritating fish into producing more slime. Its protective action comes from the protein-active colloids binding to exposed tissue.
Handling, Transport & Acclimation
Fish may experience significant stress during shipping, netting, transport, bagging, or introduction to a new aquarium. StressGuard can be used during these periods to help reduce stress and protect fish from minor abrasions caused by handling.
When acclimating newly purchased fish, use StressGuard in a clean acclimation container or quarantine aquarium according to the label. Avoid unnecessarily extending the amount of time fish remain in shipping water.
Fin, Scale & Skin Damage
StressGuard can be helpful when fish have minor torn fins, missing scales, superficial scrapes, or abrasions caused by decorations, netting, transport, or aggression.
It supports healing but does not correct the cause of repeated injuries. Inspect the aquarium for sharp decorations, aggressive tank mates, unsuitable tank size, poor water quality, or equipment that could continue damaging the fish.
Using StressGuard with Medications
