The Aquarium Co-Op Pleco Cave is a natural terracotta shelter designed primarily for smaller plecos, including bristlenose plecos. Some small catfish and dwarf cichlids may also use it for shelter.
Shape: three-sided with one closed end and one open end
Design: triangular sides help prevent rolling and allow multiple caves to be stacked securely
Fish suitability: primarily smaller plecos, generally around 6 inches or less depending on body shape
Placement and Care
Choose a cave that fits the individual fish comfortably without trapping it. Place securely on the aquarium bottom, leaving its entrance unobstructed; avoid unstable stacks or arrangements that could shift. Rinse before introducing it to the aquarium and clean without soap as needed.
Note: Breeding behavior depends on the species and aquarium conditions. A cave can provide an appropriate location but cannot guarantee spawning.
