Installation and Care

Actual flow through plumbing is lower than the manufacturer's maximum unrestricted pump rating. Match the pump to your vertical lift, tubing size, fittings, and desired flow. Keep the external electrical controller dry; do not run the pump without water. Use a drip loop and follow the supplied manual for priming, installation, and periodic cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an air pump? No. It is a water circulation/return pump, not an airline aerator.

Will it deliver 1720 GPH at my aquarium? Not necessarily. The maximum flow rating is measured under favorable conditions; water lift and plumbing restrictions reduce actual delivered flow.

Can it be used in saltwater? Hygger lists freshwater and saltwater compatibility when correctly installed.
