Praziquantel-based medication intended for susceptible flukes, tapeworms, and certain flatworm infections in ornamental freshwater and saltwater fish. Check the likely cause of fish symptoms before using a parasite treatment.
Manufacturer Directions
Shake vigorously. Dose 5 mL (1 teaspoon) per 20 US gallons based on the actual aquarium water volume, excluding substrate and decorations. A single treatment lasting 5–7 days may be sufficient. Repeat only as directed by Hikari, no more often than once every three days.
Preparation and Safety
Begin with a water change of at least 30%, using an appropriate water conditioner. Keep normal biological filtration operating but remove activated carbon, stop UV sterilization, and turn off protein skimming during treatment. Maintain aeration. Do not combine with other medications or sulfur/sulfinate-based conditioners unless manufacturer guidance permits. Avoid overdosing and observe sensitive aquarium inhabitants.
