Praziquantel treatment for susceptible external and internal parasites of ornamental freshwater and saltwater fish, including skin and gill flukes, tapeworms and certain flatworms. Correct identification matters because not all parasites respond to praziquantel.
Manufacturer Treatment Schedule
One packet per 20 US gallons (76 L) of aquarium water. After five days, perform a 25% water change and repeat treatment. Follow the current package directions. Twenty packets provide a single dose for up to 400 gallons or two full doses for up to 200 gallons.
Precautions
Do not use in systems containing tube worms or feather dusters. Fritz describes general compatibility with plants and other invertebrates when used as directed, but a separate hospital tank is preferred. Remove carbon and other chemical filtration, turn off UV, and suspend protein skimming in marine systems during treatment. Maintain aeration and monitor water quality.
