Fritz ParaCleanse 10 Pack – Aquarium Antiparasitic Treatment
Fritz ParaCleanse combines metronidazole and praziquantel for susceptible internal and external parasitic conditions in ornamental freshwater and saltwater fish. It is not a universal treatment for every disease; identify the likely parasite before medicating.
Pack and dosing
Includes 10 treatment packets. At a dose of 1 packet per 10 US gallons, this pack covers 100 gallons for one dose. A full two-dose course requires twice that amount of medication for the same water volume.
Manufacturer treatment schedule
Day 1: Add 1 packet per 10 US gallons.
Day 3: Repeat the same dose.
Day 5: Perform a 25% water change.
Repeat the full course from day 6 only if symptoms improve but have not disappeared, following the current package instructions.
Safety and aquarium care
Fritz lists ParaCleanse as compatible with aquatic plants and invertebrates when used as directed, but sensitive animals should be observed carefully and a hospital tank is preferred. Remove activated carbon and other chemical filtration, stop UV sterilization and protein skimming, and maintain adequate water flow and aeration. Do not make water changes during the scheduled treatment unless the label directs otherwise. Continue checking aquarium water quality.
