Fritz Expel-F 20 Pack – Fluconazole Antifungal Treatment
Fritz Expel-F contains fluconazole and is intended for certain true fungal infections of ornamental freshwater and saltwater fish, including Saprolegnia and Ichthyophonus. White cotton-like patches may have other causes, so verify that antifungal treatment is appropriate. Expel-F is not the same product as Expel-P dewormer.

Manufacturer directions
Mix one packet per 10 US gallons in a small container of aquarium water, then add in an area of strong circulation. The manufacturer specifies one dose for a 14-day treatment period; a second course may be used if necessary according to package directions. Remove carbon and ion-exchange resins, turn off UV sterilization, and maintain aeration. In marine aquariums, Fritz directs stopping the protein skimmer for the first three days of treatment; follow the current package directions. Use a hospital tank where practical.
Invertebrate and plant precautions
Fritz lists Expel-F as compatible with shrimp, snails, and many other invertebrates when used as directed. However, it can affect desirable macroalgae, especially Bryopsis, and may temporarily cause some corals to retract. Use caution in marine systems with macroalgae or sensitive corals. Follow your package directions and do not use this treatment as a general remedy for flashing or unidentified parasite symptoms.
