Setup and Compatibility
Airline tubing, air stones, sponge filters, and check valves are separate accessories unless the package states otherwise. Choose appropriate tubing and an air-driven filter or diffuser suited to the pump. A splitter or gang valve can divide airflow, but it cannot increase the pump's capacity. Place the pump outside the aquarium, above water level where practical, with a drip loop on its power cord. Use a properly oriented airline check valve when the pump is below water level to help prevent back-siphoning.
Choosing Your Air Pump
This model does not have a built-in air adjustment knob. A compatible separate airflow-control valve may be used when appropriate. Match the pump to the number of outlets, aquarium depth, and equipment requirements—not tank size alone.
