How to Use

1. Place a small amount of sinking fish food or algae wafer in the food chamber.
2. Put the collector into your aquarium. Seating it flat against the substrate helps make entry easier for snails, including Malaysian trumpet snails.
3. Leave it in place overnight, approximately 24 hours, and check it daily. Some fish, including plecos, may enter the collector.
4. Lift it out carefully, draining excess aquarium water from the strainer corner. Check for fish or shrimp before relocating or removing snails.
5. Repeat as needed, and avoid overfeeding the aquarium to help keep snail populations manageable.

Cleaning and Care

Rinse with cool tap water and allow to air dry or towel dry. Do not put the collector in hot water, a dishwasher, a microwave, or direct sunlight; heat can deform the 3D-printed material. If a larger fish dislodges the lid, follow the manufacturer's guidance for securing it.
