Manufacturer Directions
Standard dose: 5 mL per 10 US gallons (38 L) of water. API directs users to double the dose when using the product for slime-coat replacement or damaged skin and fins. Follow current package directions and measure carefully in small aquariums.
When to Use
For dechlorination during a water change, treat the amount of new water. API advises using full aquarium volume when dosing to support fish recovering from injury. Stress Coat does not replace disease diagnosis, biological filtration, or routine water-quality maintenance. API advises against using this standard formula with protein skimmers.
