Ricefish are small (around 1–1.5 inches), shoaling, and very peaceful. Dwarf shrimp — a perfect match
Neocaridina shrimp such as cherry shrimp are one of the best companions for ricefish. Adult shrimp are completely safe, and in a well-planted tank plenty of shrimplets survive too.
