Prime: your everyday water conditioner

Seachem Prime is the workhorse. It removes chlorine and chloramine from tap water and temporarily detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, which makes it useful both for water changes and for emergencies. Safe: the dry version of Prime

Seachem Safe is essentially a powdered, ultra-concentrated form of Prime. Because it's dry, a small container treats an enormous volume of water, which makes it economical for large tanks, fish rooms, and anyone who wants long shelf life. It does the same core job: dechlorinating and detoxifying.

Stability: beneficial bacteria for cycling

Seachem Stability supplies the beneficial bacteria that break down ammonia and nitrite. Dose it when setting up a new tank, after a big water change, when adding new fish, or following medication that may have affected your biological filter. It helps establish and maintain a healthy nitrogen cycle.

Purigen: premium chemical filtration

Seachem Purigen is a synthetic filtration media that removes organic waste before it breaks down into ammonia and nitrate. It polishes water to a noticeable clarity, and unlike carbon it can be rinsed and regenerated for reuse. Place it in a media bag in your filter's flow path, following the manufacturer's directions. Unlike biological filter media, Purigen is specialty chemical filter media; it supports filtration but does not replace the beneficial bacteria living in a cycled filter.

Clarity: fast water polishing

Seachem Clarity is a clarifier that clumps tiny suspended particles together so your filter can trap them, clearing up cloudy water quickly. It's a spot fix for haziness rather than an everyday additive. Cloudy water can also result from a bacterial bloom, especially in a newly established aquarium. A bacterial bloom is not proof that the nitrogen cycle is complete, so test ammonia and nitrite and address the underlying cause rather than relying only on clarifier.

Pristine: waste and sludge management

Seachem Pristine uses beneficial organisms to help break down excess food, waste, and organic sludge, reducing the buildup that fuels ammonia and algae between cleanings. Think of it as ongoing support for a tidy, low-waste tank.

Monitoring: Ammonia Alert

Products only help if you know what your water is doing. Seachem Ammonia Alert is an in-tank badge that continuously changes color to show free ammonia levels, giving you an early warning before problems become dangerous.
