The Apistogramma cacatuoides, or Triple/Super Red Cockatoo, is a stunning cichlid species with bright orange spots and elaborate fins. These intelligent fish thrive as a pair in a 20 gallon tank and will display vibrant colors during breeding season. With a sandy substrate and plenty of hiding places, this species will make a beautiful addition to any aquarium. Great beginner fish for your family. They are fed with a variety of live foods and assorted flake foods.

Tropical Treasures had some really severe once in a lifetime storms, right after we ordered a new juvie fish. I needed a nice sturdy cichlid for my Betta loving eldest. They stayed in contact with me, we worked out new shipping timelines, they were very polite and kind, we got our fish as soon as it was safe. Fish came in a gas exchange bag and with a few other better practices for shipping. Water was clean and he looks beautiful and healthy. I am really impressed with their entire process and will happily buy more from them.
